INTERNATIONAL NELSON MANDELA DAY 2020

In the spirit of International Nelson Mandela Day, this year, the Embassy is organising a collection drive for the NGO Refugee Project Ute Bock, which is a privately funded organisation that helps refugees by providing them with shelter, food and education regardless of their places of origin in Vienna. If you would also like to – TAKE ACTION. INSPIRE CHANGE, MAKE EVERY DAY A MANDELA DAY. – join us and drop off any of the below mentioned items at the Embassy (Sandgasse 33, 1190 Vienna) on weekdays between 08:30 and 15:30 every working day until 16 July 2020.

Items needed are for refugee school children: slippers for school: sizes 24 to 44, elastic gym shoes: sizes 24 to 44, sports shoes (preferably with a light sole) in sizes 33 to 44, gym pants and leggings in sizes 128 to 176 and in sizes S and M, desk pads, school bags/rucksacks, pencil cases, paint brushes, glue: stick and liquid, scissors, handicraft cases (Werkkoffer), fountain pens, Frixion Ball rollerballs, book covers A4 colourless, boxes of tissues, gym bags, cloth napkins, USB sticks from 8 GB, locker locks.

A good alternative to the individual products are vouchers for Pagro or Libro as well as shoe shops or donations, so that they can get the missing products themselves.

Please be generous, it is for a good cause and for our hero Tata Nelson Mandela.

The collection will be officially handed over to the Refugee Project Ute Bock on Friday, 17 July 2020.
