OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE PROVINCE OF UPPER AUSTRIA
As part of the Mission's Economic Diplomacy programme Ambassador Tebogo Seokolo visited the Province of Upper Austria.
The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen economic relations between Upper Austria and South Africa.
Ambassador paid a courtesy call on the Upper Austria Minister for Economy, Dr Michael Strugl and the Mayor of Linz, Mr Klaus Luger as well as the Vice-President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Mag. Angelika Sery-Froschauer.
In strengthening economic relations between Upper Austria and South Africa Ambassador also met a Board Member of voestalpine, Dipl.Ing. Herbert Eibensteiner and the CEO of Plasser & Theurer, Mr Johannes Max-Theurer, two big Austrian companies that have major investments in South Africa.

Plasser & Theurer is the world leading company in manufacturing railway construction machinery and has a subsidiary, Plasser South Africa Pty ltd, which covers southern Africa as well as Kenya in maintaining railway tracks.
Ambassador further opened a Tourism Seminar hosted by the Embassy at the Marriott Hotel in Linz.
